Overview:
Camporee is one of the most interesting boy scouts event of the year. Lots of
competitive events that provide a fun learning experience for the scouts.
The events reflect scout skills and our common goal of installing a scout sense
of pride , confidence, accomplishment, fair play, leadership skills , values of
a strong moral character and positive attitudes. It will be held at Glen
Helen park where we have double the space we had in previous locations like
Firestone. We will be taking care of the Tomahawk throw this year. It is a
very popular game among scouts and it is a privilege for our troop to be
organizing it.
Deadline registration Fees:
Dead line for registration will be April 12th. $14/person before April
12th and $20 /person after that date. Since
we are not having a meeting on Monday April 8th payment must be made at our next
meeting.
Food:
A food planning meeting will be held on Monday the 16th of April during
the scouts meeting at 7 PM. Please if you are a parent going to the event make
sure to be there to help. We will be cooking for ourselves and the scouts will
cook for themselves.
It will be 4$ per meal.

Game:
A meeting with volunteers will be held on Monday the 16th of April to make sure
that we have all the equipment necessary for that. We need volunteers with
trucks to carry equipment.
Departure and return:
Location: Brea Senior Center parking lot, 500 S. Sievers St., Brea, Ca.
Depart :Day/date: Friday 27th of April . Meet at 7 PM and leave at 7,30PM
Arrive :Day/date: Sunday 29th of April. Arrival time AROUND 1 PM.
Directions:
57 N to the 210 E to the 15 N exit Glen Helen. Take right onto Glen Helen
Parkway. Go one mile then turn right again into the park, then follow the signs.
Uniform:
Class A is required : on Saturday for the opening ceremony, and the OA giant
Campfire. On Sunday for the scouts own .
Class C for all other events.
Logistics:
Pick-up trucks and passengers vans are needed for equipment and scouts
transportation. We need volunteer parents.
Cell phone service coverage is available at the Park
Registered and non registered adults are
welcome as visitors on Saturday.
