Obtaining Brotherhood status signifies complete membership in the Order of the
Arrow. If you have been an active ordeal member for at least 10 months and have
your dues paid, you are eligible to become a brotherhood member. You must also
meet the five challenges below to become a Brotherhood member.
1. Memorize the signs of Arrow membership.
2. Advance in your understanding of the Ordeal.
3. Serve your unit. Retain your registration in Scouting.
4. Plan for service in your lodge.
5. Review your progress
For a detailed description of the challenges above, consult your OA handbook.
2002 Ordeal Members
Featured in the photograph above are the OA Ordeal members of 2002. Hopefully they
will continue on to Brotherhood. All current Ordeal members are encouraged to further
their involvement in the OA and become a Brotherhood member. Now’s the time to
prepare if you should decide to take the next step.
